Innovatively designed Power Cables featuring Extruded Insulation and their versatile accessories cater to rated voltages from 1kV(Um1.2 kV) up to an impressive 30kV(Um 36kV).Moreover, Greatwall Cable offers an extensive range of XLPE insulation cables that comply with esteemed national and international standards or can be tailoredto specific custom specifications.
2. Construction and Material Excellence
1) Precision in Conductor Construction
The conductors are expertly crafted to be typically class 2, featuring compacted circular or circular standard conductors, made from copper or aluminium for optimal performance.
2) State-of-the-Art Conductor Screen
All cables with rated voltages exceeding 1.8/3kV are equipped with advanced conductor screening, which is non-metallic and comprises either state-of-the-art semi-conducting tape or a sophisticated layer of extruded semi-conducting compound, or an innovative combination of both.
3) Premium Quality Insulation
Insulation is expertly crafted, consisting of a finely extruded cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE)layer that ensures optimal protection and durability.
4) Advanced Insulation Screen
For cables at rated voltages exceeding 1.8/3kV , the insulation screening is composed of a non-metallic semi-conducting part combined with a metallic layer. It includes either high-grade semi-conducting tape or a sophisticated layer of extruded semi-conducting compound. The extruded insulation screen is usually of the easy-to-remove type but can be supplied with a bonded version on request.
The metallic component is typically applied to individual cores for cables rated above 1.8/3kV and surrounds the core assembly for cables rated at 1.8/3kV and includes plain annealed copper tape. Upon request, an additional layer such as a copper tape screen, copper wire, a lead alloy, or a corrugated aluminum sheath can be incorporated.
5) Inner Covering or Separation Sheath (for armored cables)
Beneath the armor, where no screen exists, a PVC inner covering is applied meticulously.
In cases where metallic screening is needed and where the armor consists of different metals, an expertly extruded PVC separation sheath is used to ensure complete separation of the distinct metals.
6) Robust Metallic Armor
For those moments when added durability and protection are paramount, our cables can be equipped with an armor of unmatched quality. If required, choose between a robust single layer of round wires or double tapes crafted from galvanized steel, aluminum, or other non-magnetic metals. Particularly for single-core cables on A.C circuits, non-magnetic armor, typically aluminum, is indispensable for optimal performance.
7) Outer Sheath
Every cable comes standard with an expertly extruded black PVC outer sheath, conforming to class ST2 specifications. However, should your needs demand, we offer a spectrum of alternatives like PE (polyethylene), and high flame or fire retardant PVC, amongst others, ensuring your project's success in any scenario.
8) Core Identification
Our multi-conductor cables are meticulously identified as per the stringent IEC60502 standards, guaranteeing top-notch quality and reliability.
